Bảo hiểm y tế mang tính nhân văn, nhân đạo sâu sắc. Chính vì tầm quan trọng của bảo hiểm y tế mang lại mà Thủ tướng Chính phủ đã ban hành Quyết định số 823/QĐ-TTG, ngày 16/6/2009 chọn ngày 01 tháng 7 hàng năm là “Ngày Bảo hiểm y tế Việt Nam”.
Ngày Bảo hiểm y tế Việt Nam 01/7/2023 với chủ đề: “Hãy tham gia bảo hiểm y tế để được chia sẻ gánh nặng khi ốm đau, bệnh tật” nhằm đẩy mạnh công tác tuyên truyền, vận động nhân dân chung tay, góp sức thực hiện tốt Luật BHYT với lộ trình thực hiện BHYT toàn dân, vì sức khỏe của bản thân, gia đình và cộng đồng xã hội, vì an sinh đất nước.
Tham gia BHYT được xem là hình thức tiết kiệm “đóng góp khi lành, để dành khi ốm”. Việc chủ động tham gia BHYT giúp mọi người dân đều được tiếp cận các dịch vụ chăm sóc sức khỏe cơ bản mà không phụ thuộc vào khả năng chi trả của mình, đồng thời chia sẻ bớt khó khăn cho cộng đồng nếu một ai đó không may mắc bệnh.
Vì những lợi ích to lớn, tính nhân văn nhân đạo Bảo hiểm y tế mang lại cho sức khoẻ toàn dân, nhân dịp kỉ niệm ngày Bảo hiểm y tế Việt Nam xin gửi lời tri ân sâu sắc, lời chúc sức khoẻ, bình an và hạnh phúc đến những cán bộ làm trong ngành Bảo hiểm và luôn đồng hành cùng sức khoẻ toàn dân.
